Every vehicle is different in terms of what buttons can be used for example a BMW can have up to 20 buttons in total and a Ford can be limited to only 6 buttons.

The only way a thief could take a Starline protected car is by physically towing it away, even then they will never be able to drive it. The Starline system uses the buttons in your vehicle such as those on the steering wheel, door panels or centre console, to allow you to make a unique, changeable, PIN code sequence that must first be entered before you can drive your car. Just like your credit card but you can make your car PIN even safer by making it up to 20 presses long ( on certain vehicles ).

The Starline Can-Bus Immobiliser is extremely small and hidden within your vehicles wiring loom and once concealed it is completely invisible. When entering your vehicle you are required to enter a user defined pin number to disarm the system and allow you to start your vehicle, this is done by using various buttons on your dashboard or steering wheel in a particular sequence.
